KINOULTON CRICKET CLUB JUNIOR SECTION NEWS Friday evening training continues until 17th September. JUNIOR PRESENTATION EVENING 17TH SEPT 6PM BBQ FOLLOWED BY AWARDS. WELL DONE BOYS!! AND TIM!!....................................................................................................... More coaches and volunteers still needed! We are all delighted to see the clubs junior section thriving with Friday evening sessions attracting normally around 60 boys and girls, and over 70 players now registered. As a result of junior interest, in addition to the Friday practices, the club have this season also been able to run girls hardball and Kwik cricket teams, together with boys under 12 and under 10 hardball teams plus 2 Kwik cricket teams. We all want to see the club continue to prosper, and as a club we hope that next year we can increase again the number of teams playing hardball and Kwik cricket, to allow your son or daughter the best chance to play and benefit from the superb facilities we have available. However, to do this we need more volunteers please! The club really need more enthusiastic potential coaches to help run the girls and boys Kwik cricket teams, especially in the younger age groups. Experience is not essential, just enthusiasm, with the club happy to pay for potential coaches to become ECB qualified by attending short coaching courses at Trent Bridge. Can you give up some of your time to help out? If coaching is not for you, then could you offer to man the bar, tuck shop or kitchen every now and then to give a night off to the usual helpers? Again, any help would be great. Thank you for your support, and if you are able to help then please speak to Dave R, Dave P, Terry, Elliot or Tim and we would be delighted to hear from you.

Kinoulton are your local cricket team and we have a well established youth section. We are very proud to have been awarded Focus Club status in Nottinghamshire, recognising the continual success of our junior development programme.
The club holds the higly prestigious ECB Clubmark Accreditation - one of a select number of clubs in England and Wales - confirming our commitment to being a safe, effective and child-friendly club. We are keen to promote the sport and invite interested juniors to join in the Friday evening sessions, learn the skills of cricket and represent the club in Youth League fixtures.
The following teams will take part in the Nottingham Youth Cricket League (NYCL) 2010 and the Newark and District Colts League (NDCL) competition 2010; Under 10 Hardball NYCL and Under 10 Kwik Cricket competition ( 2 boys and 1 girls team) U12 hardball NYCL, U13 hardball NDCL and U14 girls hardball NYCL.

- Summer practice sessions 6.30 - 8 p m from 23rd April until 10th September 2010 inclusive. Charge £2 per session
- Coaching staff; 8 qualified ECB coaches in attendance - all CRB approved.

Child Protection Policy
KCC is a non profit making family oriented community sports organisation. It strives to maintain opportunity for young people to participate in cricket. The club does this by having a commitment to ensuring that it protects and safeguards young people and vulnerable adults from harm. The club has a comprehensive child protection policy which was adopted in 2004. The club recognises the need for this and with the help and support of the England and Wales cricket board will adhere to the welfare of young people in cricket policy 'IN SAFE HANDS' published in October 2003. All club coaches, captains, scorers, umpires and volunteer helpers have had criminal record bureau checks and have attended an ECB welfare of young people in cricket workshop. A complete club policy document is available to view in the club pavilion for members, parents, carers and visitors alike.
