Kinoulton Falcons - Sunday 5 June 2011

Match One – LOST (Kinoulton Falcons 115 v Kinoulton Eagles 137)
Match Two – LOST (Kinoulton Falcons 136 v Bottesford 2 140)
In the first match we never really got going against the other Kinoulton team and failed to score any boundaries which meant we didn't post a reasonable score. Despite some good tidy bowling the Eagles were able to comfortably pass our score with several fours.
The second match was tighter against Bottesford's second team but in the end we lost by 4 runs. Sam J was the pick of the bowlers with a wicket maiden and there was some nice fielding on display. Tom P hit 4 boundaries in the last over to make the scores close but losing three wickets earlier in the innings meant that it wasn't quite enough.
Starting the season with two losses is disappointing but we had some very young players in the team with three boys making their debut so I'm sure that the wins will come.
